Elias Läderach becomes the first Swiss chocolatier to win the World Chocolate Masters in Paris. The renowned world championship featuring 20 of the world’s best chocolatiers was held in Paris from 31 October to 2 November 2018. Besides being named as the overall winner, Elias Läderach also won the press prize and first place in four out of seven categories: Chocolate showpiece, Chocolate snack to go, Chocolate design and Moulded chocolate bonbon. Elias Läderach impressed the judges with his creativity, craftsmanship and precision. His innovative interpretations of the Futropolis theme and his meticulously hand-crafted creations delighted the jury thanks to their perfect blend of a refined yet simple texture, intense taste and sustainability – both in the concept and in the recipe itself.
